I Erased My Age Spots With a Cheap Kitchen Ingredient — Baking Soda Paste

Do you feel self-conscious about age spots? Don’t worry, baking soda is a simple home remedy that you most likely already have in your kitchen! This reasonably priced remedy can help lighten those spots and enhance the appearance of your skin.

As a mild exfoliant, baking soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate, “removes dead skin cells and gradually fades age spots.” Additionally, it promotes natural health by balancing the pH of your skin.

Making Baking Soda Paste: Create a paste by combining two teaspoons of baking soda with water. Apply it gently to the age spots, let it sit for two to five minutes, and then rinse it off. Next, moisturize. Do this two or three times a week.

Lemon and Baking Soda: Mix 1 teaspoon lemon juice with 2 teaspoons baking soda. Rinse well after applying the mixture to the areas and letting them sit for five minutes. Keep in mind that “lemon juice can be photosensitizing,” so if you’re going outside, wear sunscreen.
