A well-liked Canadian doctor named Dr. Kimberly Nix died three years after being told she had metastatic sarcoma. She was known for posting honest and inspiring things on Instagram and TikTok. In her last video, which she posted on May 8, 2013, she thanked all of her followers from the bottom of her heart.

In her moving nine-minute video called “Get Ready with Me,” Dr. Nix said, “If you’re seeing this, I have died peacefully.”

Even though she knew she was going to die soon, she thought about her life, what she had done, and how happy her community made her.

She talked about how much she loved her husband and how sad it was that they would never be able to spend time together again. She also asked people to support sarcoma research by giving money to the Sarcoma Alliance. Her message was full of love, thanks, and a call to action. It stressed how important community was to her as she dealt with her cancer. Many people with cancer will continue to be inspired by her. Many people will continue to be inspired by her.
