As a result, she began drinking and smoking as early as 12-years-old. And began experimenting with s ex at 14-years-old. All the teen ever thought at that time was the things she did gave her satisfaction and happiness. She didn’t care if what she did was right or wrong so long as she had a blast.
Then throughout junior high and high school, Adrienne became known as a “party girl.” Soon, s*ex became her addiction, trying to fill the void in her heart, jumping from one relationship to another.

During College, Adrienne’s interest changed, and she started studying intellectual pursuits. She became an atheist and looked for knowledge to fill her emptiness. But amidst her new pursuit, her s*ex addiction didn’t leave her.
“Sin wasn’t in my vocabulary,” Adrienne recounted. “No sense of remorse. No sense of guilt, no sense of shame. It was all for me and what I wanted and what would make me happy.”
But despite her pursuit of knowledge, Adrienne couldn’t find the answers to her query about life’s meaning. Even with everything she had learned, she still felt empty. Soon, she realized that everything she chased would fail her. And then it led to her deep depression.
Adrienne tried to get help from medical science, but it couldn’t heal her d epression. She then tried to marry someone thinking marriage would end all the pain and she would finally be happy. But once again, it failed her, and she began having an affair. Hence, her marriage crumbled.
