Woman Slams Veteran In Middle Of Restaurant, Then He Shuts Her Up In Epic Way

Our country’s veterans sacrifice so much for us. They leave behind their homes, their families, their comfort, and their safety to protect our freedom and ensure we feel secure. While they receive some benefits, like small discounts and perks, these are minimal compared to what they’ve given up for our safety and well-being.

Unfortunately, not everyone understands or appreciates what veterans have done. This became clear when a young veteran approached the counter at a fast food restaurant to order a meal. After placing his order, he asked if the restaurant offered a military discount. He wasn’t prepared for the response he got.

A woman standing behind him in line told him it was rude to ask for the discount. She accused him of acting entitled and said he was seeking “special privileges” because of his service in the military.

Although the young veteran was likely taken aback by her comment, he quickly responded with a powerful message.

“It’s not a privilege, it’s a discount,” he said. “A privilege is getting to go home. To go home to your family every night. To go home in a free country.”

“Some people give up their privileges so that people like you can have them,” he added.

After his response, a girl in line offered to pay for his meal, and the store manager decided to give him the meal for free.

That moment was a valuable lesson, showing how much veterans deserve our respect and gratitude. Hopefully, the woman who criticized him realized the importance of his service that day.
