I Excluded My DIL’s Kids From My Family’s Gathering

Festivities and family get-togethers are meant to unite loved ones, but Greta’s 40th wedding anniversary had the opposite effect.

In order to free up space in her overcrowded home, Greta advised her daughter-in-law to bring just one child.

Tension erupted over what she believed to be a reasonable request, and it eventually became a major rift. Greta is now looking for guidance on how to handle the situation.

I therefore requested that my son’s wife leave her other three children (ages 13, 11, and 10) at home and only bring my 9-year-old grandson.

. My son promptly consented, and the three of them attended the festivities. But she was strangely silent all night.

When I opened it and saw everything I owned from my son’s house, where I occasionally stay, I nearly passed out.

“You’re not welcome to stay at my house anymore,” the note read. I was shocked, but I decided not to respond in order to prevent starting a new argument.

But my grandson called me crying the following day. He informed me that his father had left after a heated argument between his parents.

When I arrived at their house in a hurry and saw how chaotic it was, I froze.

In front of me, my daughter-in-law expressed her desire to divorce my son for failing to defend her children.
