A woman faced an awkward situation with her in-laws regarding who pays for meals despite the couple extending dinner invites. The 37-year-old, along with her 40-year-old husband, enjoys dining out and often treats their in-laws. However, a pattern emerged where the in-laws assumed the couple would foot the bill.
During a dinner near the in-laws’ home, the mother-in-law handed the bill to the husband without checking the cost. The couple paid without complaint. In a subsequent upscale restaurant visit, the same scenario unfolded. This time, the woman felt uneasy and later commented on the in-laws’ expectation of them always covering the expenses. The revelation led to an uncomfortable situation, with the woman unintentionally embarrassing her in-laws. Despite the awkwardness, the woman managed to salvage their relationship.
