Lynda Wiesmeier: Cause of death, Playboy career, movies

Actress Lynda Wiesmeier gained notoriety for a few noteworthy movies.

It’s a specific picture of her, though, that has drawn notice recently because it seems to capture a moment in time.

Lynda Ann Wiesmeier was born in Washington, D.C., in 1963. She was the epitome of a blonde bombshell, and Playboy Magazine featured her curvaceous figure.

Her father was a doctor in the U.S. Air Force in Bitburg, Germany, where she started her journey. Before Lynda finally settled in sunny Los Angeles, the family relocated quite a few times. She also lived for a while in Bound Brook, New Jersey, where she frequently visited the Jersey shore to sunbathe.

Starring in a zombie film

Lynda enjoyed working and staying busy, juggling three careers: acting, modeling, and medical office secretarial work.

Playboy noticed her beauty in 1982 and included her as the centerfold Playmate in their July issue. Lynda went through a fast-paced period in her entertainment career after joining Playmate, appearing in movies that highlighted her gorgeous natural body. Real Genius (1985), Teen Wolf (1985), Malibu Express (1985), and R.S.V.P. (1984) were among the films in which she starred.

The last film

However, her last movie may have been the one that made Lynda Wiesmeier famous. She was chosen to play Dianne in the zombie horror movie Evil Town in 1987.

The iconic Dean Jagger played the part of a crazy scientist who is searching for eternal youth in the movie. His technique? Of course, making a medication from human pituitary fluid. Things took a turn for the worse as he extracted the fluid; the unfortunate donors were turned into mindless zombies as a result.

In a curious turn of events, Keith Hefner, the younger brother of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, was also featured in Evil Town. The movie had a strong Playboy connection because Lynda and Keith were both involved.

The movie was supposed to open on June 3, 1987, but because of the excitement, many theaters began showing it on June 2. But in spite of the hype, Evil Town fell short of expectations.

It was criticized by critics who referred to it as a “silly horror film.” All Movie Guide’s Cavett Binion noted that the film was “spiced up with some gratuitous nudity courtesy of former Playboy Playmate Lynda Wiesmeier” and that it was a mashup of scenes from previous movies, including an unfinished project from the 1970s. Aww!

Fortunately, Lynda Wiesmeier was bound to make a brief return. In the years since it was released, a specific scene from Ewil Town has somehow become very popular.

It’s not for the reasons some might think, though.

A picture of Lynda Wiesmeier

Lynda and Scott Hunter, an almost unknown actor, share the screen in this iconic scene.

This appears to be your typical 1980s photo at first glance. A young couple, both dressed in classic 1980s fashion, pose in front of a Dodge vehicle. But if you look more closely, you might find something surprising!
