At least everyone believed it to be a typical school talent show. Expecting to witness the typical array of elementary school performances—some singing, perhaps a few dances, and a few apprehensive recitations—parents and teachers poured in. However, there was something different about the first-grader when he entered the stage. He was small, with large, nervous, and excited eyes, and he was holding a microphone that was nearly too large for his hands.
