Lisa Rinna’s Feathered Headpiece Steals Attention as Amelia Gray Walks Victoria’s Secret Runway

Reactions online ranged from delighted to baffled. Still, Rinna’s intent was heartfelt: she was there to watch daughter Amelia Gray Hamlin return to the Victoria’s Secret runway for a second time, with older daughter Delilah Belle Hamlin by her side at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California, on October 18.

A Family Affair at the Runway Show

Rinna, 63, leaned fully into theatrical styling for the occasion, while Delilah, 28, chose a sheer black lace dress accented with a baby-blue feathered piece of her own. Amelia, meanwhile, walked in a pale-blue lingerie set with oversized white feathered wings.

Speaking on the pink carpet, Rinna explained her look playfully: “I’m giving mother of an Angel.” She grew more reflective discussing Amelia’s return to the runway, saying, “To see her walk, she gets her wings for the first time, I mean, c’mon? I feel like my mom orchestrated this in some way. It’s really special.” Rinna was referencing her late mother, Lois, who died at 93 after a stroke in 2021.

Fans Split Over the Feathered Look

Once photos and videos circulated, Rinna’s outfit became its own topic of debate. One commenter wrote, “The feather is feathering,” while another admitted it was “one of the strangest outfits we have ever seen.” Some accused her of pulling focus from Amelia, with one person writing that she was trying “to get all the attention from her daughters.”

Others pushed back, noting Rinna had framed the look as a celebration of her daughter’s moment rather than an attempt to compete with her. The feathers themselves became a literal talking point after guest Kate Bartlett posted a video captioned, “It was an honor to be whacked by her feather lol,” poking fun at sitting behind the towering headpiece.

Amelia’s Walk Sparks Its Own Debate

Amelia’s runway performance drew its own round of commentary, separate from her mother’s wardrobe. Viewers questioned her stride, with comments like “What is this walk??” and “Why is she walking like she’s marching?” Others compared it to a marching-band gait or called it “too heavy.”

The scrutiny came despite — or perhaps because of — how long Amelia has wanted this career. She has said she knew she wanted to model since age 5, explaining on a podcast that she sought out the industry herself rather than being discovered. She has also openly acknowledged being a “nepo baby,” saying she’s “extremely grateful for that,” while noting she faced repeated rejection at Tom Ford castings before persevering.

At the InStyle Imagemaker Awards, Rinna had called her daughter a “force to be reckoned with,” adding that both she and husband Harry Hamlin were proud of what their daughters have accomplished.

Harry has also defended his daughters’ work ethic, telling Newsweek, “My girls work, and how dedicated they are and how much time they spend on their careers, they did this on their own,” while acknowledging that family connections offer an advantage but insisting, “you’ve got to come up with the goods.”

Rinna’s History of Bold Fashion Statements

The Victoria’s Secret look was hardly Rinna’s first fashion risk this year. Earlier in 2026, she wore a gown made with roughly 11 pounds of ethically sourced human hair to the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards Viewing Party, a design created with Christian Cowan and TRESemmé.

In May, she drew more mixed reactions at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s pre-Met Gala party, debuting a faux-hawk hairstyle with red feathered sleeves on a sheer black gown. That appearance followed the release of her memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, in which she addressed long-circulating rumors about Harry Hamlin, writing that he is heterosexual and that the speculation “never concerned” her.

As of now, the online debate over both Rinna’s feathered ensemble and Amelia’s runway walk remains unresolved, with fans continuing to weigh in on both moments from the show.
