Tom Cruise’s rumored romantic involvement with a young Spanish musician has been dismissed by the artist herself. Victoria Canal, a 25-year-old musician, recently took to social media to address and shut down the swirling gossip about her alleged relationship with the “Mission: Impossible” actor.

In response to the speculation, Canal shared a photo of herself on Instagram with her hand over her mouth and wrote a lengthy caption to clarify the situation. She also addressed the rumors in her Instagram Story, where she plainly stated, “Guys. I am not dating Tom Cruise. This is literally insane.” The rumors had become so widespread that Canal felt compelled to put an end to them publicly.

In her Instagram post, Canal expressed her disbelief over the rumors, stating, “Guys, this is literally bonkers, but apparently the tabloids think I am dating Tom Cruise. I’m deceased.” She went on to clarify, “Let’s just stop this in its tracks – I’m sorry to bum you out, but I am not dating the man, albeit a lovely person & artist. LOL, never thought I would have to clarify that out loud in my life.”

The rumors of a romance between the 62-year-old Cruise and the much younger Canal began after they met at the Glastonbury Festival earlier in the year. Reports suggested that their relationship had evolved into something romantic in recent weeks, with sources claiming that Canal had even been invited to the set of “Mission: Impossible 8” in Oxfordshire. According to a source, this invitation was unusual, as Cruise rarely extends such invitations to mere friends, leading some to speculate that their relationship was more than platonic.

Adding to the speculation, Cruise was seen in the VIP section of a Coldplay concert in June, the same night Chris Martin brought Canal on stage. Canal documented the experience on Instagram, calling it the “Best day of my life.” The two were also seen together at a Bruce Springsteen concert at Wembley Stadium, and they attended the “Twisters” premiere together shortly after their initial meeting at Glastonbury. Canal even mentioned that Cruise had suggested they attend the premiere together, saying, “We met backstage at Glastonbury and talked about the upcoming premiere we were both going to, and he said, ‘Roll with me!’”

She described Cruise as a “respectful and encouraging person and mentor,” comparing him to other influential figures in her life, such as Chris Martin, her father, and her music teachers.
