Harald Glööckler – partner, plastic surgery and net worth

A world-renowned artist and fashion designer witnessed his mother’s tragic death and made a vow to keep her memory alive. This promise drove him to continually reinvent himself, achieving success with remarkable flair.

Among the many vibrant personalities in the fashion world, few are as extravagant as Harald Glööckler. Though his name might not be familiar to everyone, his striking, heavily made-up face, often adorned with dramatic touches, frequently appears in tabloids.

Glööckler’s journey to fame has been long and filled with challenges, shaped by hard work and a difficult childhood. Growing up in southern Germany, his father was violent and an alcoholic, a combination that left a lasting impact on young Harald’s life. In a 2009 interview with Bild, he described his childhood as worse than a horror movie.

Tragedy struck when Glööckler was just 13 years old. His mother died after a mysterious fall down the stairs, which was ruled an accident by authorities. However, Harald has claimed that his father was responsible, saying he witnessed his father push her down the stairs. From that moment, Harald never spoke to his father again, not even until his father passed away 13 years later.

Adding to his traumatic upbringing, Glööckler was sexually assaulted by a family friend when he was just six years old, a secret he kept due to his unstable home life. It took years for him to come to terms with the fact that the assault wasn’t his fault.

Despite these hardships, Harald channeled his trauma into something positive, transforming himself into one of the world’s most renowned designers. Witnessing his mother’s suffering inspired him to dedicate his life to empowering women. At the age of six, he made a promise to himself that he would never let women cry and would do everything he could to make them feel beautiful.

He began his career as an apprentice, later working as a salesperson in a fashion house. With experience and confidence, he eventually opened his own store. In 1987, at the age of 22, Glööckler launched his first boutique, Jeans Garden, in Stuttgart, alongside his manager and life partner, Dieter Schroth.

Three years later, Glööckler founded his most famous brand, Pompöös, which quickly gained popularity with celebrity clients like Gina Lollobrigida, Brigitte Nielsen, and Chaka Khan. Since then, Glööckler has become a prominent figure in the fashion industry, known for his extravagant designs and appearances in teleshopping. His products, including fashion, cosmetics, and bags, are sold in over 80 countries.

While he is most famous in Germany, Glööckler has also gained international attention. In addition to his work in fashion, he paints and sells his artwork, designs jewelry, and serves as a judge on Germany’s “Let’s Dance.” He even starred in the documentary “Harald Glööckler: Prince of Fashion.”

Glööckler and Dieter Schroth, who have been together for over 30 years, entered into a registered partnership in 2015. Despite some health challenges, the couple enjoys a traditional life filled with friends, coffee, and dinners. Glööckler has been a pillar of support for Schroth, taking care of their home and their dog.

In 2018, Glööckler experienced a health scare when he suffered anaphylactic shock and was rushed to the hospital. Despite the seriousness of the incident, he recovered quickly and maintained his characteristic sense of humor.

Over the years, Glööckler has undergone numerous cosmetic procedures to maintain his distinctive appearance. He openly embraces plastic surgery, considering it a necessary investment in his brand. Despite criticism for his bold and extravagant style, Glööckler remains unapologetically true to himself.

His dedication to his unique vision is evident in the money he’s spent on cosmetic surgery—reportedly $660,000. His recent procedures include a breast enhancement and a thread lift, which he shared with his followers on Instagram, sparking concern among some fans.

Regardless of opinions about his appearance, it’s undeniable that Glööckler has made a significant impact on the world of fashion. Beyond his creativity, he’s a disciplined and shrewd businessman who revolutionized TV sales in Germany. His net worth is estimated at 10 million euros, and he continues to be a sought-after figure, with appearances commanding 25,000 euros a day.

Glööckler’s journey from a traumatic childhood to becoming a successful fashion icon is a testament to his resilience and determination. He has not only honored his mother’s memory but has also built a life filled with purpose and success.
