I Went to Pick Up My Wife and Newborn Twins from the Hospital, I Found Only the Babies and a Note

Ben found his wife Suzie gone and a note saying, “Goodbye,” when he arrived at the hospital to take her and their newborn twins home. Look after them. Find out from your mother why she treated me this way.

Ben went home in confusion and confronted his mother, Mandy. Ben later discovered a letter that Mandy had written to Suzie, in which she denied any involvement: “You’ll never be good enough for my son.” Get out of there before you destroy their lives.

Ben sent Suzie packing after realizing how cruel his mother was. He fought through restless nights looking for Suzie, alone with the twins.

Suzie returned to his door months later, tearful but in better health. She described how Mandy’s words and postpartum depression had overtaken her. She longed to be with her family again, and therapy helped her heal.

Knowing that patience and love were essential to reestablishing their relationship, Ben forgave her.
