Micheál Neeson was only 13 when he lost his star mother

These two stars fell in love while working together on Broadway in 1993 in Anna Christie. There were sparks between them, even though one of them was married at the time.

In the end, her marriage ended, and she married the actor in 1994. They have two kids together.

It was clear from the start that the couple had a deep link; their performances showed that they had undeniable chemistry with each other.

Even the actress, years later, didn’t mind that the star was known for being good with women. She told Country Living, “I’m glad that women fall in love with him because I know why.”

After they got married, their love grew even stronger, and they were excited to have children. They had their first son in 1995, and 18 months later, they had their second son.

Natasha Richardson, an actor, hurt her head while skiing in 2009, which broke everyone’s hearts. She at first didn’t think much of the fall, but she quickly got worse, and doctors eventually found that she was brain dead.

Neeson remembered a promise they had made and made the hard choice to turn off her life support after family and friends had had a chance to say goodbye.

Micheál, their oldest son, later became an actor like her. He has been in movies and TV shows like Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Vox Lux, Big Dogs, Broken Symphony, and Paradise.

After many years, Micheál also changed his last name to Richardson to honor his mother.

He told The Times, “It was mostly a tribute to my mother and a way to carry her with me.”

He was moved to say, “It was a lovely gesture,” which made his father very proud. It meant a lot to Natasha’s mother and sisters. “I’m happy with it.”

Neeson was happy with his son’s choice and took comfort in the fact that Micheál’s name and work carry on Natasha’s memory.

Since then, Micheál has made his own way in the acting world. He has worked with his father on several movies, such as Cold Pursuit and Made in Italy, giving powerful performances in line with his family’s history. He keeps his mother’s memory close to his heart.

What a sweet story! I’m sure Natasha Richardson is very proud of her son and all he has done.
