The Shocking Reason Tucker Carlson Dumped His New Truck: Media Star’s Unusual Consumer Habit Exposed!

After noticing a frightening warning, Tucker Carlson made the decision to replace his American-made pickup.

Carlson is a well-known Chevrolet enthusiast who claims to have “always had” the brand. Last year, he even declared his affection for the 1987 Silverado without any electronics.

The conservative pundit claimed in a recent interview that he was filling up the gas tank of his Chevy truck when an unexpected message appeared on the infotainment screen.

In an interview with gearhead Casey Putsch, he asserted, “Suddenly, at a gas station, it says, “Stop, we’re downloading information from the internet.”

I sold the car right away. I sold it after bringing it back. A request for comment on the video from Daily Mail was not answered by Carlson’s representatives. According to GM’s press team, Carlson’s claim is untrue for their cars.

The general manager stated, “We don’t have vehicle prompts worded this way, but what might have appeared is a standard software update for features like navigation and music, similar to a smartphone.”

Tucker Carlson voiced his displeasure with dashcam use. “Customers have the option to turn connectivity off at any time, even though it offers many benefits for convenience and entertainment.”

The alarming allegation comes after reports of automakers disclosing information to brokers and insurance providers.

Several big brands, including GM, the parent company of Chevy, were tracking driver behaviors that were deemed unsafe, according to a New York Times investigation.

Braking performance, speed, sharp turn frequency, and even vehicle location were among the sold data. There are many business challenges for auto insurance companies.

Because cars are selling for record highs, drivers are getting into record numbers of accidents, and natural disasters are destroying cars at an accelerating rate, insurance for cars is becoming more expensive.

Due to all of those factors, last year’s most inflation-prone industry in the US was auto insurance. It has also sparked a great deal of ire at the providers.

Carlson claimed that while filling up his truck, he had the terrifying experience. According to the media personality, he sold his brand-new Chevy pickup.

“I’m sure they want to ruin your life by giving insurance companies all of your data,” Putsch retorted.

“Insurance companies will be the demise of driving and automobiles.” I promise it.

If Carlson’s claims were accurate, they would be horrifying. However, the media personality has a long history of spreading untruths about private businesses.

Then, accusing evil actors of using dashcams to spy on drivers, the men rumbled down a conspiratorial path.

“What would happen if every car had to have a dashcam?” Putsch uttered those words.

What occurs if you are given total authority? The car always cuts off at the precise 55 mph speed limit.

The discussion seems to be referring to an Intelligent Speed Assistance endorsement from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) during the Biden administration.

In order to “provide visual or audible alerts when the speed limit is exceeded, but the driver can decide how to react,” NHTSA officials wanted cars to be equipped with this technology.
