Adric White, 18, decided to walk into a Family Dollar store to commit robbery.

Please take note that this story, which first appeared in the news in November 2013, is being republished.

Adric White pulled out his gun, broke into a Family Dollar, and demanded that the cashier give him all of the money. When he took the employees hostage at gunpoint, White, 18, believed he knew what he was doing.

Things took a turn when a Good Samaritan with a valid concealed-carry license pulled out their gun and confronted the young armed robber. He was ordering them around, acting like a big shot, making demands, and feeling strong when they were carried out.

The Good Samaritan told White not to move and aimed his weapon at him when he arrived on the scene. White, however, was not going to allow his fame to be taken from him so easily.

He turned to stare at the Good Samaritan rather than listen. White was shot five times because the robber had been warned not to move by the man with the gun. This caused him to be taken out, allowing others to restrain him and remove his gun.

The 18-year-old Adric White made the decision to rob a Family Dollar store. When he made that choice, he was already free on bond for another offense. Unfortunately for him, he was shot by one of his potential victims who turned the tables on him. Adric’s family reacted as follows.

The news of Adric White’s failed robbery attempt shocked and devastated his family. They found it inconceivable that he would act so carelessly, especially in light of his prior legal troubles. They were left wondering how they raised him incorrectly and what might have caused him to take this risky route.

They couldn’t help but experience a range of emotions as they sat in the courtroom during his trial: disappointment, sadness, and rage. They were aware of Adric’s good intentions, but he would have to deal with the fallout from his actions. They hoped that he would be awakened to the need to change his ways and make better decisions going forward.

Adric’s family continued to support him in spite of the seriousness of the situation. They attended his court hearings, wrote him encouraging letters, and paid him a visit in jail. They wanted him to know that they were there for him during this trying time and that they loved him without conditions.

Adric’s family hoped that he would grow from his mistakes and emerge a different person as he served his sentence. They hoped that he would use this experience as a springboard to a better future and prayed for his safety and wellbeing.

Adric’s family never gave up on him in the end. They clung to the hope that he would come out of this experience stronger and wiser, and they still believed in his capacity for growth and redemption. And while they waited for him to be released from prison, they promised to support him at every turn, ready to help him turn his life around and make amends for his previous deeds.
