The lifeless body of an unidentified young woman was discovered at a hotel in Igbogene, Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday, has alarmed residents in the area.
According to community sources cited by PUNCH Metro, the woman had checked into the hotel with a young man reportedly involved in internet fraud, often referred to as a “Yahoo boy.”
Shortly after their arrival, the man allegedly left the hotel, leaving the woman alone.
The hotel manager later found her body and promptly alerted the Igbogene Divisional Police Headquarters.
