Lori Loughlin and Jack Wagner star Nathaniel “Nate” Pelletier of Hallmark’s popular TV show When Calls The Heart tragically died unexpectedly last month at the age of 53.
The celebrity, who played a cab driver in several of the show’s episodes, passed away at home.
However, his most well-known role was in the show’s transportation department, where he was in charge of maintaining and operating the vintage cars.
According to his obituary, he died on April 11 at home in Langley, British Columbia.
The show’s Henry Gowen, played by Martin Cummins, paid a heartfelt homage to his friend and coworker.
“I’m taking cover in Mexico under the awning Nate helped me figure out in the woods near the old cabin after just returning from a ride on the bike Gord and Nate put together for the girls,” he said.
“I’ve worked more hours sitting in the blue room, talking to Gord and Nate or sitting in silence, than I have standing on tape with the camera rolling,” he added.
“Life is ever-changing.” Nothing is ever the same. Without Nathaniel Pelletier, the Valley won’t be the same. It was an honor for me to call him a friend because he was a kind person.
