Robyn Bernard, Former General Hospital Actress, Dies at 64

San Jacinto, Calif. — Actress Robyn Bernard, best known for her six-year run as Terry Brock on General Hospital, has died at age 64. Authorities confirmed she was found in San Jacinto on Tuesday, March 12. Police were called to investigate a death, and Bernard was later identified through fingerprints, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. An autopsy has been scheduled; no official cause of death has yet been released.

Bernard appeared in 145 episodes of General Hospital between 1984 and 1990, where her character Terry Brock became part of the show’s long-running storylines. Her acting career also included the 2002 television special Voices from the High School, where she played a psychologist.

She is survived by family, including her daughters Cassidy and Lacey. Colleagues and fans remembered her as warm, professional, and full of positive energy. Tributes on social media recalled her dedication to her craft and the joy she brought to the set.

The General Hospital community has endured other recent losses, including the passing of longtime cast member Jackie Zeman in 2023. Rick Springfield, who once played Dr. Noah Drake on the show, said at the time he was “shocked and broken-hearted” to lose another colleague.

Moments like this ripple beyond a single show. The sudden death of an actress who once lit up daytime television reminds us how fragile every breath is. In the words of the sages, “Life is a trust, not a possession.” God grants us the stage for a little while, and then calls us home. What remains is not the length of the role but the sincerity with which it was played.
