Céline Dion Tackles “All By Myself” in First Full Arena Concert Since 2020

On September 12, 2026, Céline Dion began her residency at Plenitude Arena in Nanterre, near Paris, with her first complete public concert in approximately six and a half years. She started the evening with “On ne change pas” and performed for more than two hours. Contemporary accounts placed the bilingual setlist at 25 songs.

The program combined major entries from Dion’s French- and English-language catalogs. “Pour que tu m’aimes encore” appeared alongside “The Power of Love” and “My Heart Will Go On.” Her longtime pianist and musical director, Scott Price, joined her for the performance. Reuters characterized the staging as comparatively restrained, without extraneous spectacle competing with Dion’s singing and return to concert performance.

“All By Myself” provided one of the night’s most closely noted passages. At the song’s climax, the arena became quiet as Dion sang the difficult “anymore” section a cappella. Le Monde reported that she carried the unaccompanied bridge through its famous high note before the orchestra swept back into the arrangement.

The residency opener continued Dion’s gradual resumption of live performance. Her previous full arena concert occurred at the Prudential Center in Newark on March 8, 2020. Pandemic closures and later health problems disrupted her touring plans. In 2022, she publicly announced that she had been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome.
