Harry & Meghan attacks have brought Kate, William, Charles, and Camilla closer together, expert says

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from the royal family approximately four years ago was anticipated by many to result in a gradual fading from the spotlight. However, their decision led to quite the opposite outcome, thrusting them further into the public eye and subjecting several royal family members, including Kate Middleton, to constant scrutiny.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex embarked on their new chapter in the United States with a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which they made allegations of racism within the royal family and highlighted the challenges Meghan faced regarding her mental health. This marked the beginning of a series of public criticisms and revelations, including a Netflix series and Harry’s subsequent book, which strained relations within the royal family even further.

The rift between Prince Harry, Meghan, and other members of the royal family, including Prince William, Kate Middleton, King Charles, and Queen Camilla, appears irreparable. Despite the negative impact on their relationships, a royal expert suggests that the ongoing feud might have had a positive effect on the remaining family members who remain committed to their royal duties.

The turning point in Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the royal family came with their interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which Meghan revealed troubling conversations about her son Archie’s skin color. The couple found themselves practically excluded from royal affairs thereafter, with Meghan disclosing that Prince Charles had refused to take Harry’s calls.

Subsequently, Harry and Meghan continued to air their grievances, with Meghan recalling an uncomfortable encounter with Kate Middleton during their first meeting. The relationship between Meghan and Kate, according to authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, never progressed beyond acquaintanceship, with Meghan hoping for a more supportive welcome into the royal family.

Tensions escalated during the preparations for Harry and Meghan’s wedding, with Meghan claiming that Kate had made her cry over flower girl dresses, contradicting earlier media reports. Harry’s book provided further insight into the strained relationship between Meghan and Kate, revealing private text exchanges between Kate and Meghan regarding the fitting of Princess Charlotte’s dress for the wedding.

Prince William also faced criticism in Harry’s book, and relations between the brothers deteriorated to the point where they reportedly no longer speak. Despite Prince Harry’s brief return to the UK following his father’s cancer diagnosis, Prince William remains adamant about not allowing Harry to return to royal life.

However, amidst the turmoil, a royal expert suggests that the feud has brought King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton closer together. Despite the challenges, the remaining family members continue their royal duties, with King Charles and Kate Middleton taking on significant responsibilities in the absence of Prince Harry and Meghan.

While reconciliation between Harry, Meghan, and the royal family remains uncertain, it appears that the ongoing feud has solidified the bonds between the remaining family members, who are focused on upholding the monarchy’s best interests.
