At 69, Kevin Costner shocks fans after debuting “orange” hair at Venice Film Festival

It’s no surprise that Kevin Costner grabs attention wherever he goes. As one of the most prominent actors of the past few decades, he has built a substantial fanbase through his extensive and successful film career.

Last year, however, the Yellowstone star found himself making headlines for a different reason: his bitter divorce from longtime partner Christine Baumgartner. At 69, it was probably not how he imagined spending 2023, but life often brings unexpected challenges.

While his marital issues no longer dominate the celebrity gossip columns, Costner remains in the spotlight for other reasons. Recently, he made an appearance at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, arriving in true star style via boat.

Wearing dark sunglasses, a light beige linen shirt, matching pants, and a cream-colored jacket, the actor looked both relaxed and smart. A video shared by Costner on Instagram captured his arrival at the festival, showing his boat docking, followed by the star walking along the pavement and waving to the crowd from the boardwalk.

“Hello, Venice! It’s almost time to premiere @horizonamericansaga Chapter 2 at #VeniceFilmFestival,” Costner wrote in his Instagram caption.

While the excitement should have centered on the premiere of the second installment of his western epic Horizon: An American Saga, people couldn’t help but comment on the Dances With Wolves star’s hair.

Many observers were surprised, believing that Costner had dyed his hair orange for the film festival.

“I feel like I don’t remember his hair being that color,” one commenter remarked.

Another questioned, “He’s a ginger?”

A third commented, “His hair looks ridiculous. He would be much more handsome with grey hair!”

“Stop [dyeing] the hair!” urged another.

“He’s hot even with orange hair lol,” one fan confessed.

A sixth admirer added, “The older he gets, the better he gets 🙌🙌❤️.”

Since his divorce from Christine Baumgartner last year, there has been much speculation about Costner’s love life. However, the actor recently addressed a specific rumor involving singer Jewel during an interview with Howard Stern.

“No, Jewel and I are friends. We’ve never gone out ever. She’s special, and I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship because that’s what we have. She’s special to me. She’s beautiful enough to go out with,” Costner clarified.

Despite his denial, some netizens remain unconvinced.
