Marie Osmond stirs debate after debuting new hair – it’s a ‘drastic change’

Marie Osmond, the iconic singer and TV personality, recently caused quite a stir with her latest style transformation. Known for her signature brunette hair, the 64-year-old star surprised fans by debuting a bold new look in a recent video.

The change sparked a wave of reactions from fans on social media. Many were caught off guard by her new appearance, with some expressing their surprise at how different she looked. One fan enthusiastically commented, “Wow, you look like a completely different person!” while another asked, “Oh my Marie, why the drastic change?” Another fan remarked, “I’m not sure I’d recognize you if I ran into you as a blonde.” Some expressed a preference for her original hair color, with one user stating, “Blonde is definitely not her color! I’m sure it’s just a wig, and it’s fun to change your hair color!”

For Marie, however, this transformation goes beyond just a change in color. She views it as a fresh new look and an exciting shift in her style. In a previous interview with Closer Weekly, she hinted at the possibility of going blonde, explaining, “If my hair gets really, really gray and I can’t dye it black anymore, I’ll go blonde!”

During the pandemic, Marie faced the challenges of DIY hair care with salons closed. She revealed that her hairstylist was a crucial part of her haircare routine, even conducting virtual consultations to help her manage. Recalling her experience, she shared with ET Online, “I called her up and said, ‘How does it look?’ and she replied, ‘You’re right, you really can’t do hair, can you?’”

Marie’s hairstylist guided her through creative solutions to maintain her look. She recounted, “She made me pin it all forward in a ponytail and said, ‘Now pull it over your grays, and then they can’t see it.’” Despite these minor obstacles, Marie approached the situation with her trademark positivity, saying she enjoyed the experimentation. “It’s fun because there are all kinds of ways you can hide things and do things that save time and money,” she added.

Amid the variety of fan reactions to her new blonde look, one person exclaimed, “Oh my God! You really did THAT to your hair?” Another wrote, “Blonde is not you….” While there were some critical comments, others offered support and positivity. One fan encouraged her, saying, “You look stunning! Ignore the haters.”

Whether her blonde hair is a temporary experiment or a long-lasting change, Marie Osmond’s popularity and connection with her audience remain as strong as ever.
