Renowned Hollywood manager Peter Meyer, famous for representing top-tier actors like Kevin Costner and Tom Hanks, has passed away at the age of 68 after a courageous five-year battle with sarcoma. “After a heroic fight, Meyer found peace surrounded by his family,” his sister shared. The entertainment industry, along with his friends and clients, is deeply saddened by his loss.

Meyer had a successful career, beginning as a talent agent at William Morris before founding his own company, Meyer Management, in 1989. Over the years, he represented a wide range of talent and was highly respected in Hollywood. A memorial service in his honor is scheduled for June 13, 2023, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Santa Monica.

Meanwhile, one of Meyer’s longtime clients, Kevin Costner, has been making significant investments in his Horizon franchise amid his ongoing divorce from Christine Baumgartner. Costner, passionate about the project, has poured substantial funds into the venture. “I believe in the idea and the story,” he said, revealing that he mortgaged a 10-acre waterfront property in Santa Barbara and has invested up to $50 million of the $100 million budget. Despite acknowledging the financial risks, he remains committed to the project, stating, “I’m never putting my money in another movie after these four.”
