Michael Jackson’s Rarely Seen Son Steps Out, Sparking Talk of His Striking Resemblance to Dad – Photos

Michael Jackson’s 22-year-old son was recently spotted looking calm while grabbing some Mexican food from Sharky’s restaurant in Calabasas, California. The King of Pop’s son, Bigi Jackson, went out for a solo lunch, and fans quickly took notice. Many pointed out how much he resembles his late father.

Bigi, who was previously known as Blanket before changing his name in 2015, made a rare public appearance on October 10, 2024. He kept it casual, wearing a faded gray Avengers T-shirt, green athletic shorts, black sneakers, and white socks. His dark hair, parted in the middle and tucked behind his ears, complemented his facial hair. As the youngest of Michael Jackson’s children, Bigi tends to stay out of the spotlight. He is the younger brother of Paris Jackson, 26, and Prince Jackson, 27, and was born via a surrogate in 2002 as Prince Michael Jackson II.

Fans quickly noted the strong resemblance between Bigi and his father. One fan commented, “He looks a lot like MJ,” while another exclaimed, “Yup, spitting image!” Social media users couldn’t help but point out the similarities, with one saying, “He looks just like his daddy Michael!” Another fan, noticing his expression, said, “He looks so much like his father and he looks sad.”

Bigi, often seen only on rare occasions, made headlines again in October 2022 when he attended the annual Thriller Night Halloween party hosted by his brother, Prince, at the Jackson family home in Encino, California. His appearances continue to draw attention, with fans commenting on how much he reminds them of his iconic father.

One of the most talked-about moments involving Bigi occurred when he was an infant. In 2002, Michael Jackson famously held nine-month-old Bigi over a hotel balcony in Berlin to present him to fans. The act, which Michael later described as an attempt at a grand “Lion King” moment, received widespread criticism for putting his child at risk. Michael later apologized, stating, “I made a terrible mistake. I got caught up in the excitement of the moment. I would never intentionally endanger the lives of my children.”

Among Michael’s children, Bigi reportedly had the hardest time coping with his father’s death. A family insider shared that while all of Michael’s children carry on with their lives, Bigi seemed especially lost after his father’s passing. Nonetheless, he found solace in his close bond with his older brother, Prince, as the two bonded over their shared love for science and science fiction.

In November 2021, the Jackson siblings hosted a Thriller Night event at their Hayvenhurst home to raise funds for the Heal Los Angeles Foundation. During the event, Bigi spoke about his father’s legacy, emphasizing the importance of addressing climate change. He expressed pride in the rich history associated with the Hayvenhurst house and studio, which he believes reflect Michael’s lasting influence. Bigi also mentioned that he and his siblings share the goal of creating meaningful work that brings joy and positively impacts people’s lives.

Bigi remains committed to the cause of climate change, noting that his generation is particularly aware of its significance and prepared to take action. His public appearances, while infrequent, continue to remind fans of the legacy he carries and his dedication to important causes.

Throughout Michael’s life, he instilled in his children the importance of maintaining a close bond. After his passing, Prince, Paris, and Bigi have honored this by looking out for one another and celebrating each other’s strengths. Despite their busy lives and individual pursuits, the siblings make a point to cherish the time they can spend together, continuing to support one another as their father had hoped.
