Adam was Jen’s dad. He always thought Matt, Jen’s boyfriend, wasn’t good enough for her daughter. Since they met, Adam has never liked Matt and has always said bad things about him.

Matt loved Jen and didn’t want Adam to get involved with their relationship, even though Adam tried many times to hurt them.

Jen would tell Matt that her dad would change his mind and accept him one day. She told her boyfriend that he did the same thing to her brother-in-law when her sister got engaged.

The rest of Matt’s family loved him, even though Adam did everything he could to hurt their relationship.

They were at Jen’s parents’ house for dinner. She was going to ask him to marry her while the whole family was there. He had been putting money away for Jen’s ring for months.

Then he saw that Adam was grinning at him all the time. Matt felt bad about that because he was sure Adam was thinking about something.

Adam got up just as Matt was about to ask her to marry him. “Before the night ended, I have something to tell you all!”

“Matt was seen with another woman a few days ago.” They were very close to each other. This is the picture!”

When Matt turned on the TV, he was shocked to see himself sitting next to a woman in a public place.

“This is silly, Dad! I don’t understand what’s bothering you!” Jen said that she thought these pictures were fakes made by her father.

Matt had enough. He told Jen that he was going to ask her to marry him tonight, but after hearing this, he had to change his mind.

He got up and left the dinner.

Jen told Matt that the woman in the pictures was his sister from the dinner they had together while he was away. Jen said she would be in the pictures too if the photographer for her dad was five minutes late.

Jen and her mother yelled at Adam and told him that he was ruining his daughter’s life and that he would have to live alone in the house if he didn’t fix what he broke right away. They said they would leave him alone.

In thirty minutes, someone would frantically knock on Matt’s door. Adam was standing there when he opened the door. On his knees, he told him he was sorry and begged him to come back and ask his daughter to marry him again.

He promised that he would never get in the way of their relationship again.

Adam finally realized that he wasn’t giving his daughter safety; instead, he was making her life worse because she was seeing someone who would always love and protect her. He even tried to keep his future wife safe from his dad.
