After his sermon this past weekend, well-known Christian pastor and motivational speaker Bishop T.D. Jakes had a medical emergency.
He is stable and receiving medical attention, according to a statement posted on his official social media accounts on Sunday, November 24.
Jakes was seen pausing during a sermon at The Potter’s House of Dallas and receiving assistance from others on stage, which led to the announcement. Viewers gave the incident, which happened during a live-streamed service, a lot of attention and expressed concern.
The church released a statement saying, “Bishop T.D. Jakes had a minor health incident during today’s service and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour-long message.”
Bishop T.D. Jakes was seen sitting in a chair during his onstage sermon, wiping his forehead with a cloth and considering the cost of preaching. He told his audience, “It’s giving back more than you gave.”
