Beloved actor dies at 37 after being shot in Los Angeles

His brother, Grant, spoke to the Daily Mail, sharing that their Southern upbringing emphasized protecting others, especially women. “We’re proud Southerners, and we would never let a woman walk to her car alone,” he said. Grant also described Johnny as an exceptionally hardworking individual, both in his acting career and within his family. “I believe my brother worked harder than anyone I’ve ever known. He was a devoted son and a loving brother,” Grant added.

Fellow actor William deVry, who also starred on General Hospital, expressed his grief, calling the loss “senseless” and underscoring the significant impact Johnny had on those around him.
