Kamala Harris and Jill Biden ‘won’t look at each other’ at Jimmy Carter’s funeral after ‘frosty’ tensions

Among the notable people attending the funeral of former US President Jimmy Carter, who is being laid to rest, are Kamala Harris and Jill Biden. Many have speculated that they are trying to avoid President-elect Donald Trump.

Another awkward moment occurred when Kamala Harris and her husband, Douglas Emhoff, allegedly switched seats at the funeral of former US President Jimmy Carter to avoid President-elect Donald Trump.

Celebrities from around the globe have attended the funeral for the 39th President of the United States, Carter, who passed away in December at the age of 100. Online controversy has been sparked by Michelle Obama’s absence, though, as she recently made a scathing attack on Melania Trump.

Harris, who lost to Trump in the 2024 election, went with her husband, Emhoff, and sat in a pew next to First Lady Jill Biden and President Joe Biden. However, one internet user claimed that Harris refused to look at Jill while uploading a video to X. Barack Obama and President-elect Trump were deep in conversation, according to the same X account.

The caption for @VillageWest14’s X post read: “Obama and Trump appear more eager to speak with one another than any of the couples. When Kamala saw Trump, she and Doug switched seats, and now she and Jill avoid eye contact. Michelle, where are you? Trump defeated the legacies of at least five of the individuals in the frame.

A body language expert told the Irish Star at a prior meeting following Kamala’s election as the Republican nominee for the 2024 U.S. election, “Sitting up on the balcony though, we have Kamala sandwiched between two ‘presidential’ spouses and the air of permafrost from Jill looks evident.”

“Kamala appears committed to maintaining an almost arrogantly upbeat demeanor, gesturing as if she had won the election. Her lips are pursed in a gleeful smile, and her cheeks are round and elevated.

On Thursday, Melania Trump, the future first lady, and Donald Trump, the president-elect, were spotted arriving at the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter.

Despite his tense public relationship with Carter, Trump has reaffirmed his admiration for him since his death, declaring in advance that he will attend his memorial service.

Melania paid their respects alongside her husband in a rare joint appearance. The former model stood out from the crowd in a long, black pea-style coat with a huge white collar.

Users have been questioning Melania’s intriguing, haughty fashion choice after a video of the couple arriving at the funeral and being seated appeared on X. “What the fuck is she wearing?” one user commented. Was she trying to look like a nun? While the other guests were dressed modestly and respectfully in black, the accessory seemed out of place.
