America’s most beloved family have been involved in a fatal plane crash on route to a concert.

Seven members of the beloved gospel family, the Nelons, perished in a tragic plane crash. The victims included pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa, family worker Melanie Hodges, their daughter Amber, her husband Nathan Kistler, and Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark. In a heartfelt message, Autumn Nelon Streetman, the lone survivor who wasn’t on the aircraft, thanked everyone for their prayers and support.

The Nelons’ plane crashed in Wyoming while they were traveling to Alaska for the Gaither Homecoming Cruise. The plane crashed to the ground in flames, as witnessed by witnesses. No one lived despite the efforts of emergency personnel.

The Nelons, who were recognized for their influence on gospel music with hits like “I Shall Not Be Moved,” “Come Morning,” and “We Shall Wear a Robe and Crown,” were inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2016. The accident will be looked into by the National Transportation Safety Board.
