Name Of The Homeless Arsonist Revealed As Illegal Immigrant Amid L.A. Fires

An undocumented immigrant named Juan Manuel Sierra-Leyva was taken into custody in relation to several fires that occurred close to Calabasas, California.

The suspect was accused of starting a fire behind a car, which locals assisted in putting out. The suspect was spotted riding a bicycle with a propane tank or flamethrower and carrying a blowtorch.

Following a citizens’ arrest, Sierra-Leyva was taken into custody; however, authorities later claimed that there was insufficient evidence to bring charges against him for arson.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement may ask for his detention due to probation violations, but California’s sanctuary laws make matters more complicated. Numerous celebrities’ homes have been destroyed by the fires, which have left Los Angeles in ruins, including the deadly Kenneth Fire. W

ith additional fires possibly caused by arson or other factors, the LAPD is still investigating.
