The Super Bowl has ended, and the contrasting figures of Donald Trump and Taylor Swift have taken center stage. Swift was in attendance to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who was unable to help the Kansas City Chiefs retain the championship. Trump became the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl, and cameras around the stadium made sure not to miss it.
Trump also made history as the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl, predicting the Kansas City Chiefs would win. Trump’s presence at the event made a lot of noise, but not everyone believed he made the best impression. Body language expert Judi James claimed that Trump looked “weary and tense” and treated the fans he met as if they were diplomats or political officials. Trump’s presence at the Super Bowl made a lot of noise, but not everyone believed he made the best impression.
Donald Trump was named the 2024 TIME Person of the Year, and Taylor Swift attended the 2023 TIME Person of the Year event to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. However, Trump and Swift have a rocky relationship, with Swift avoiding political comments until 2018 when she endorsed a Democratic candidate in the US Senate election in Tennessee.
Trump criticized Swift for voting against Marsha Blackburn, who voted against equal pay for women and the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. Swift argued that her values, such as businesses refusing service to gay couples and not having the right to marry, were not in line with Trump’s values. Trump urged voters to educate themselves on the candidates running in their state and vote based on who most closely represents their values.
Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Democrat Donald Trump caused controversy, with Trump questioning Swift’s knowledge of Blackburn and expressing his belief that the US is an autocracy. The feud between Trump and Swift continued, with Trump embracing the song Justice for All during Trump’s 2023 presidential campaign. Trump claimed Swift would not endorse Joe Biden’s re-election bid and claimed he signed and was responsible for the 2018 Music Modernization Act.
Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is close friends with teammate Patrick Mahomes, who had endorsed Trump for President. Trump mocked Swift after she later endorsed Kamala Harris, writing on TruthSocial, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” The list of times Trump has lashed out against Swift continues to grow, with the Super Bowl booing her causing Trump to take advantage of the situation. Trump posted a video of Swift getting booed by the crowd and later crediting his “Make America Great Again” followers for booing Swift. The feud between Trump and Taylor Swift continues to be a contentious issue, with Trump claiming credit for the 2018 Music Modernization Act and Swift’s endorsement of Biden.
