Following years of sustaining a long-distance relationship, the couple made the decision to move forward and were married in 2015. According to Tuko News, their wedding ceremony was held at Shimkus’ New Jersey home.

The birthplace of Buchignani is Bloomington, Illinois. According to his LinkedIn profile, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Princeton University. He had previously worked in MBS Sales at Deutsche Bank before moving into securitized product sales with Amherst Pierpont Securities.

Buchignani had an athletic background in addition to his work in finance. He was a defensive end for the football team at Princeton, and according to Princeton’s website, he was named to the All-Ivy honorable mention team for the second straight season.

When their son, Brock Edward, was born, the 36-year-old TV personality announced his arrival on social media.

Shimkus shared a heartwarming Instagram picture of herself with her baby and wrote, “Welcome to the world, sweet Brock,” to convey her happiness. We didn’t even realize we had a place in our hearts until you opened it. I love you just as much as your dad does!
