Old Veteran goes viral for special birthday wish to President Trump ahead of his 104th birthday

On May 15, Denver Moore, a World War II veteran from Canal Fulton, Ohio, is getting ready to celebrate a significant milestone: his 104th birthday.

Moore, however, is not organizing a typical birthday celebration. He has former President Donald Trump in mind as a very special guest.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Moore declared, “He’s my favorite president so far.” “And my worst was Biden.”

A family friend shared a touching TikTok video of Moore’s birthday wish on March 23. The centenarian speaks directly to Trump in the video:

“President Trump… In May, I will turn 104, and I would like to invite you to my birthday celebration in Canal Fulton. I had the opportunity to vote for you once more, and I hope to do so again.

In just ten days, the video received over 700,000 views, demonstrating its rapid growth. Since then, Moore has gotten birthday cards and heartfelt messages from people across the United States and even Africa.

A Life of Simplicity and Service

Moore’s amazing life story started on a farm in Ohio’s Noble County. He spent three and a half years in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for twenty years after leaving the military.

He was married for 75 years to his late wife, Thelma Lee, who died in 2022 at the age of 95. They created a life based on dedication, hard work, and family while raising three kids together.

Moore still maintains his mental acuity and physical activity at Danbury Senior Living in Massillon, which is located just south of Cleveland. He can even recite the alphabet backward, a skill he acquired more than 80 years ago, and his family members and caregivers proudly shared that he still enjoys keeping busy.

Moore grinned proudly and remarked, “I discovered that more than 80 years ago.”

The Key to Living a Long Life? Remain Active

Moore credits his long, healthy life to maintaining an active lifestyle, a habit he developed while growing up on the family farm.

“I was constantly engaged in some activity. For twenty years, I walked to deliver mail, and it was good. I was raised on a farm. We took care of everything. And we made something if we had nothing better to do,” he said. “There’s only one thing to do: keep moving.”

Another piece of life advice, this one for the romantics, was also shared by the centenarian:

He grinned and said, “Get married to the right woman and spend the rest of your life with her.”

Moore has received a ton of well wishes and nice messages since his birthday invitation video went viral. In the best possible way, the response has been overwhelming, according to Kelli Beckler, executive director of Danbury Senior Living.

“He has received birthday cards and encouragement from people across the nation,” Beckler told Fox News Digital.

Moore’s spirit, patriotism, and unwavering energy have already made his upcoming 104th birthday a national celebration, even though it is unclear if President Trump will accept the invitation.
