Dani and Nathan felt they were meant to be together when they first met in high school. They got married after a few years and anticipated a happy life together. But after only two years of marriage, Nathan underwent a transformation.

“Miss Allen should not be my mother! You should be my mother, please! Ellie broke down in tears.

Dani felt a cold rush. Ellie’s teacher was Miss Allen.
She questioned, “Why would she become your mother?”

Ellie began telling her mother what she had heard over the past few days while crying, and as she spoke, she noticed that the burden on her shoulders was gradually easing.

When Dad came to get me from school yesterday, Miss Allen instructed me to wait by the door while she talked to Dad. Although I didn’t hear everything, I did hear her promise to be a better mother to me. She said that, and Dad laughed.

There was an affair going on with Nathan.

Dani made sure Ellie was asleep before pouring Nathan a drink that night.

“So,” she started. “Miss Allen and Ellie seem to get along great.”

He asked, his eyes brightening, “Really?” “Ellie liked her, I knew that.”

“Enough for her to have Miss Allen as her new mother?” Dani inquired. “What’s going on, and please don’t tell me lies.”

Nathan was too embarrassed to look up, so he looked at the floor. However, he acknowledged that he was seeing the teacher of his daughter. Shortly after meeting, they began an affair. However, that wasn’t all. He decided to change jobs and move because he was having an affair with a woman back where they used to live, and she suddenly started expecting more from him than just being his mistress.

Dani realized then that her marriage was over.
She moved Ellie to a different school in the days that followed because she needed to be protected and loved, not be involved in her father’s extramarital affairs.
