The ‘beautiful human being’ that Taylor Swift is, even in the early stages of her romance with Travis Kelce, left Kansas City Chiefs guard Trey Smith speechless.
In September 2023, Swift and Kelce made their relationship public by attending a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium with her boyfriend’s mother, Donna.
Smith was astounded by how amiable she was to him when Kelce introduced her to his Chiefs teammates shortly after.
In an appearance on New Rory and Mal, Smith remarked, “It was just super normal, being able to meet her early on and just talking to her.”
“I believe that when you meet her in person, you find out that she is a lovely human being.”
Smith continued by saying that when Swift remembered who he was the second time he met her, he was humbled.
She is wonderful, very kind, thoughtful, and awesome. Months after we first met, she was able to recall both my sister’s and my names. It was a little thing, but it meant a lot.
Smith continued by saying that it wasn’t until Swift began dating his teammate Kelce that he realized how well-known she was.
He acknowledged, “I didn’t realize how big of a deal Taylor Swift was to me.” “How much of a star she is until she got there and I started realizing,” she said. “I was like, ‘OK, this is different,’ watching people move around.”
However, I believe that Taylor’s greatest quality is her kindness. She is truly amazing and dope.
According to Smith, Kelce has never performed a Swift song in the locker room with his teammates as far as he can recall.
“He hasn’t done that,” Smith chuckled. “Getting your songs played is a battle.” The defensive line is strong and energizing.
Smith, 25, will remain in Kansas City for at least another season on a $23.4 million salary after the Chiefs placed the franchise tag on him in February.
However, the company wants him to stay there for the long haul.
Regarding signing Smith to a new, long-term contract, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach stated back in February that there was “no lack of interest, will, or desire on our end.”

Swift, on the other hand, has been controversially involved in the feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni at the time of Smith’s remarks.
As a witness, 41-year-old Bryan Freedman, Baldoni’s attorney, sent a legal notice to the 35-year-old Eras Tour star on Friday.
