Nancy Pelosi Heckled During CUNY Event Over War Record and Alleged Misconduct

Rep. Nancy Pelosi faced repeated interruptions from hecklers during a Monday evening speaking engagement with economist Paul Krugman at the City University of New York’s Graduate Center.

The disruptions occurred four times, with protesters criticizing Pelosi for her foreign policy decisions, alleged corruption, and purported drinking habits. One heckler went so far as to label her a “war criminal,” saying she belongs “in the depths of hell” for her role in the Iraq War. The individual accused Pelosi of misleading the public about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and condemned her for U.S. military actions in Afghanistan, claiming these interventions left millions impoverished and suffering. The protester also raised questions about the Nord Stream pipeline, alleging her policies left many Germans without energy.

Despite the hecklers, the event continued, highlighting ongoing scrutiny of Pelosi’s long political career and controversial foreign policy record.
