Man Refused to Adopt His Wife’s Two Kids after Spying on Her & Discovering Who Their Real Dad Was

At 33, a man married his 25-year-old dream woman, who already had two daughters. Initially meeting at work where she served as a lobby receptionist, they fell in love, prompting the man to accept the challenge of stepfatherhood. Despite fearing the rapid transition to fatherhood and the responsibility for non-biological children, the man, deeply in love, sacrificed his alone time and salary for his stepdaughters.

Two years into their marriage, the wife urged legal adoption of the children, claiming it as the best birthday gift. Reluctantly agreeing, the man considered it a formality. Unbeknownst to him, the wife’s ex-husband, believed dead, had stopped child support due to imprisonment.

Suspicion arose when the wife acted mysteriously, prompting the man to spy. The revelation that the ex-husband was alive and not paying child support shattered the man. Confronting his wife, she tearfully admitted, justifying the lie for “good purposes.”

The man, devastated by the betrayal, contemplates not adopting the children and ceasing financial support in case of divorce, seeking opinions on the fairness of his decision.
