Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter Victoria found dead in hotel at 34

Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter, Victoria Jones, has reportedly been found dead at a hotel in California, prompting an outpouring of shock and condolences as details continue to emerge.

According to TMZ, the 34-year-old was discovered unresponsive at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco early Thursday morning following what authorities described as a medical emergency. Emergency services were called to the scene in the early hours, but despite efforts to save her, Victoria was pronounced dead.

The San Francisco Fire Department confirmed that paramedics were dispatched to the hotel at approximately 2:52 a.m. A spokesperson explained that bystanders attempted to help before first responders arrived.

“Bystanders were given instructions for CPR according to CAD records.”

When paramedics reached the hotel, Victoria was found unresponsive. Life-saving measures were attempted, but she could not be revived.

Shortly afterward, officers from the San Francisco Police Department also responded to the scene. In a statement, the department confirmed the timing and location of the incident.

“On 1/1/26 at approximately 3:14 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to a hotel located on the 900 block of Mason Street regarding a report of a deceased person.”

Authorities have not released further details surrounding the circumstances of her death. At the time of writing, Victoria’s cause of death has not been made public. However, NBC Bay Area reported that investigators do not believe foul play was involved, suggesting the incident is being treated as a medical matter rather than a criminal one.

Victoria Jones was born to Academy Award–winning actor Tommy Lee Jones and his first wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. Though she largely lived outside the public spotlight in recent years, she did have early exposure to Hollywood and followed in her father’s footsteps for a time.

She made her acting debut in 2002 with a small role in Men in Black II, the blockbuster sequel starring her father. She later appeared in television series One Tree Hill and also featured in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, a critically acclaimed film directed by Tommy Lee Jones. The project was a family collaboration, with Jones’ wife, Dawn Laurel-Jones, contributing as the film’s stills photographer.

In past interviews, Tommy Lee Jones spoke openly and proudly about his daughter’s talents and upbringing. In a 2006 interview with The New Yorker, he praised her abilities and dedication to her craft.

“She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish… When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish.”

Despite her early work in film and television, Victoria stepped away from acting and maintained a relatively private life in adulthood. While she occasionally appeared alongside her father at red carpet events and film premieres, she largely avoided ongoing media attention and public exposure.

The news of her death has come as a shock to fans of Tommy Lee Jones and to those familiar with Victoria’s early work. As of now, no public statements have been issued by the Jones family, and officials have emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing pending medical examiner findings.

As more information becomes available, authorities are expected to provide updates regarding the cause of death. Until then, tributes and condolences continue to circulate in response to the sudden and tragic loss.

Victoria Jones is remembered by many as a talented young woman who briefly stepped into the spotlight before choosing a quieter path. She was 34 years old.

Rest in peace, Victoria Jones.
