‘Pawn Stars’ Corey Harrison issues plea to fans after near-death accident

Corey Harrison, best known for his longtime role on the reality TV series Pawn Stars, is reportedly turning to fans for support after facing significant medical bills following a serious motorcycle accident in Mexico.

The 42-year-old television personality suffered multiple injuries in January when he crashed his motorcycle. According to reports shared with TMZ, the accident left Harrison with 11 fractured ribs, a concussion, and facial injuries, along with complications that doctors considered potentially life-threatening.

The injuries also forced him to miss an important family event — the wedding of his father, Rick Harrison.

Hospital Stay Cut Short Due to Costs

Harrison initially spent about two weeks in the hospital recovering from the crash. However, he reportedly chose to check himself out earlier than recommended because of the rapidly growing medical expenses.

That decision led to additional challenges during his recovery.

While resting at his home in Tulum, Mexico, Harrison began experiencing severe pain. A house doctor was called to treat him and administered IV fluids and morphine to help manage the symptoms.

At one point, his oxygen levels reportedly dropped dangerously low, leaving him fearing for his life.

Emergency Surgeries and Extended Hospitalization

Because he could not afford to return to the same hospital where he had originally been treated, friends reportedly helped transport him to a more affordable facility.

There, Harrison underwent three surgeries and spent another 18 days hospitalized while doctors treated the complications caused by his injuries.

By the end of the ordeal, the total medical costs had climbed dramatically.

Medical Bills Near $120,000

Harrison told TMZ that the entire medical situation has cost him nearly $120,000 so far.

According to his account, the financial strain has been severe. He said he currently has only about $400 left in his bank account after borrowing money from family members and friends to pay for treatment.

To help cover the remaining costs, Harrison has launched a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe, asking supporters and fans to contribute.

Explaining his situation, Harrison reportedly said:

“What am I going to do, fly out to Vegas and sell stuff? I can’t move from my recliner.”

No Longer Appearing on Pawn Stars

Harrison was a longtime cast member of Pawn Stars, the reality series centered around the famous Las Vegas shop run by the Harrison family.

Although he still receives occasional residual payments from reruns, reports indicate that he is no longer actively involved with the show.

Meanwhile, his father Rick Harrison — who has reportedly accumulated significant wealth through the success of the series and his business ventures — offered a brief comment to TMZ regarding his son’s situation.

“Corey is a grown man and he will deal with his life as he sees fit.”

Recovery Still Ongoing

Harrison continues recovering from his injuries, though his mobility remains limited as the healing process continues.

For now, his focus appears to be on regaining his health while dealing with the financial aftermath of the crash — a difficult chapter for the former reality television star who once appeared regularly on one of cable television’s most recognizable series.
