“She reminded me of Princess Diana”: Meghan Markle shares a rare glimpse of 4-year-old daughter Lilibet

Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, are living a quiet life outside the royal sphere in California. Now, the duchess has shared a rare glimpse of their 4-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, as fans draw comparisons to Princess Diana

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became international news as they announced their decision to step back from the Royal Family in 2020. In January that year, the couple shared the bombshell news on social media, saying they were taking a “step back.”

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution,” they said in a statement at the time. “We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.”

“Megxit” was a reality, and Harry and Meghan left the UK for a completely new life in the U.S. However, with the accusations the couple made against the Royal Family in interviews, and not least through Harry’s memoir, Spare, the couple’s love didn’t exactly grow.

Still, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted a more private life. Besides buying a house, dubbed “Fort Knox” for its massive security, Harry and Meghan have decided not to share many pictures of their children with the public. Their firstborn child, son Archie, has turned six, and their daughter, Lilibet, is four.

According to a close friend, speaking with People Magazine, “Harry has been reluctant to show his children publicly, not out of a desire to hide them but to protect their privacy and safety from potential threats.”

The source added, “As a dad and husband, Harry is determined to ensure that history doesn’t repeat itself.”

While not many pictures of Archie and Lilibet saw the public eye in their early years, Harry and Meghan have recently posted more frequently about their children. As late as Easter, Meghan shared pictures and videos of their children having an Easter Egg Hunt.

Archie and Lilibet were seen carrying small baskets each in one video, visibly excited about the egg hunt. Lilibet wore a pink outfit paired with adorable bunny ears, and both could be seen laughing as they ran across the family garden.

The picture has been adored by fans, as many also drew emotional connections to Princess Diana. The late princess, who passed away in a tragic car accident in Paris in 1997, was known for her relaxed, hands-on parenting style.

Another fan wrote, “Oh my they are getting really big. Love Lili’s hair [sic].”

A third stated, “Loving seeing little children run free and having fun just as any normal child should. I hope you found lots of chocolate Archie and Lilli.”

A fourth person wrote, “Super cute kids having Easter fun with all the activities. Love the video!” while a fifth commented, “Hope your Easter is as bright and beautiful as the photos!”

Another person focused on how Harry and his children are very much alike, saying, “Both children have beautiful hair color from their Daddy’s side.”

Another user compared Lilibet to Princess Diana, writing, SHE REMINDED ME OF PRINCESS DIANA. REMEMBER, WHEN THERE WAS A RUNNING COMPITITION In HE’S children’s school, she remove her shoes and she runned bare footed?”
