Maryanne Trump Barry, the elder sister of former President Donald J. Trump, passed away at 86 in her New York City apartment on November 13. A senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, she retired in 2019 after dedicated service, appointed by Presidents Reagan and Clinton to federal benches.
Recently investigated for alleged financial improprieties involving her family, Maryanne’s retirement followed the inconclusive end of the inquiry. While her relationship with Donald remains unclear, concerns about his principles were recorded by her niece, Mary.
Maryanne’s passing marks Donald’s third lost sibling, and condolences go to the Trump family. Her legacy as a respected judge, appointed by two presidents, reflects a lifelong commitment to justice. Despite challenges in her later years, Maryanne’s strength and resilience define her legacy.
In mourning Maryanne Trump Barry, we celebrate her impactful life in the legal community. Her memory inspires us to uphold justice and strive for a better future.
