Lai Noelle Lands Double Golden Buzzer on AGT with Stunning “Your Song” Performance

Lai Noelle, a 14-year-old singer from Dallas, advanced automatically to the America’s Got Talent season finale with her live quarterfinal rendition of Elton John’s “Your Song.” The performance prompted both the judging panel and the audience to stand, and golden confetti fell across the stage after she received her second Golden Buzzer of the season.

For the 1970 ballad, Noelle chose a soulful power-ballad approach. She opened softly, bringing her rich tone to the song’s conversational passages, then steadily developed the melody into a more forceful and emotional performance. The arrangement displayed changes in her vocal range while requiring her to manage the demands of a live television broadcast.

Guest judge Kenan Thompson awarded Noelle the Live Show Golden Buzzer, with Sofia Vergara pressing the button at his request. During the live rounds, that honor sends an act directly to the finale rather than leaving the result to an overnight public vote. Thompson’s selection therefore secured Noelle one of the season’s automatic finalist places.
