Dad Notices Daughter Stays in School Bus Longer than Others Kids and Gets Suspicious

Concerned about his daughter Emily’s sudden tardiness, Ben contacted her teacher, Mrs. Flynn. Explaining that things were fine at home, Ben questioned Mrs. Flynn about any issues. She mentioned witnessing Emily alight from the bus late one day, suggesting the bus driver might have insights.

The next day, Ben discreetly followed Emily after she boarded the bus. Confirming Mrs. Flynn’s observation, he discovered Emily alone on the bus, absorbed in a book. Startled by her father’s sudden appearance, Emily explained, “Dad! Oh, I lost track of time. I was so into this book, I didn’t realize everyone had already left.”

Relieved it was a simple matter, Ben chuckled and said, “Well, we can’t have you missing class. Let’s get going.” Walking towards the school, Ben appreciated Emily’s love for reading, understanding that sometimes, the simplest explanations solve the most mysterious situations.
