My Daughter’s Movie Request

My daughter recently called me and our conversation took a hilarious turn. She started by saying, “You know that Gladiator movie that I got you?” Intrigued, I replied, “Yeah.”

Then she dropped the bombshell, “Wind it forward one hour, 16 minutes, and 28 seconds.” I quickly followed her instructions and asked, “Right, I’ve done that.”

With excitement in her voice, she said, “Okay, you see the gladiator at the front fighting the lion!” I chuckled and affirmed, “I can see that, yeah.”

But she wasn’t done yet. She continued, “Just behind him, there are two gladiators having a sword fight with each other!” Surprised, I replied, “Okay, I see them.”

And then, she delivered the punchline. She said, “Well, behind those two, on the left-hand side of the screen, there’s a woman gladiator holding a spear.” Intrigued by her attention to detail, I chuckled and said, “Yes! I can see her!”

And then she dropped the bombshell – her request for her upcoming birthday. She exclaimed, “Right..! Those are the sandals I want for my birthday.”

Bringing Laughter into My Life
My daughter never fails to bring laughter into my life. It’s moments like these that make being a parent so delightful.
