Harry & Meghan consider bringing Archie and Lilibet with them on future tours, royal expert claims

Harry and Meghan’s recent three-day visit to Nigeria to promote the Invictus Games was a notable success. Despite mixed reactions from royal fans and experts in the UK, the couple received a warm welcome in Nigeria, underscoring their popularity in the second-largest Commonwealth country by population.

While the Sussexes enjoyed their visit, reports indicated that Prince William, Kate Middleton, and King Charles were “furious” about their trip. However, it is likely that Harry and Meghan will continue to undertake similar visits, regardless of their non-royal status.

The Duke and Duchess’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are far removed from their royal relatives, and Harry seems reluctant to visit the UK with them. Archie and Lilibet might soon take their first steps into public life as their parents have big plans for the future.

Harry and Meghan’s exit from the royal family marked a new chapter in their lives, now centered on their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Born in the UK and California respectively, the children are being raised in Montecito, California, surrounded by notable neighbors like Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey.

Despite their busy schedules, including a Netflix series, Harry’s book Spare, and Meghan’s lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, their children remain their top priority.

When Harry and Meghan left the royal family, they lost many privileges, including their UK base, Frogmore Cottage, although they retained their royal titles. Their controversial revelations about royal life have left members of the firm, including King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton, displeased.

In March 2023, Harry and Meghan announced Lilibet’s christening by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, officially naming her Princess Lilibet Diana and her brother Prince Archie. The couple considers these titles their children’s “birthright.”

The Sussexes believe their children should decide whether to keep or drop their titles when they get older, reserving them for formal settings. However, royal expert Angela Levin argues that these titles could burden Archie and Lilibet, tying them to an establishment their parents have criticized.

Some weeks ago, Harry and Meghan embarked on what was seen as a ‘royal’ visit to Nigeria to support the Invictus Games. They were greeted by large crowds and highlighted mental health issues among youth affected by conflicts. Their visit was considered a huge success, although it sparked different reactions in the UK.

Royal experts suggest that Prince William and Kate Middleton are “furious” about the visit, viewing it as an unofficial royal tour. Tom Bower and Phil Dampier noted the irony in the Sussexes’ actions, given their past criticisms of the Commonwealth.

Harry and Meghan might bring Archie and Lilibet on future tours, potentially putting them in the spotlight. As they continue their public lives, this decision could significantly impact their children’s futures.
