Prince William breaks silence on Kate Middleton’s recovery – the couple have become “closer than ever” amid cancer diagnosis

Kate Middleton’s journey with cancer has been shrouded in mystery since her diagnosis in February. Publicly revealing her illness in March through a candid video, the Princess of Wales has since kept updates sparse.

In the emotional video, Kate shared, “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London. Initially, it was thought my condition was non-cancerous. However, post-surgery tests revealed cancer. My medical team advised preventive chemotherapy, which I am now undergoing.”

She added, “This was a huge shock. William and I have been managing this privately for our young family’s sake. It has taken time to recover from surgery and to start my treatment. We’ve also had to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in an appropriate way.”

Kate has stepped back from royal duties since last year, with no known return date. Despite her openness in the video, speculation about her health persists. A royal source told the Daily Beast, “Kate’s diary remains empty for the rest of the year. She may not appear in public.”

An insider emphasized, “Kate is prioritizing her mental health and avoiding stress. She will return to work when doctors give the green light.”

Though Kate may consider appearing at Trooping the Colour, a royal aide stated, “She needs space and privacy to recover. She will return to public service when she’s ready.”

Reports suggest Kate has been involved in her projects even from her hospital bed, demonstrating her commitment despite her health challenges. Yet, royal expert Angela Levin advises caution, urging Kate not to rush her recovery.

Prince William has provided some insight into Kate’s recovery during his engagements. Recently, he reassured a World War II veteran that Kate is improving, adding, “She would’ve loved to be here today.”

Amidst their challenges, William and Kate are reportedly “closer than ever,” according to a royal insider. This unexpected time away from royal duties has allowed them to focus on their family and each other.

As the Princess of Wales continues her recovery, the public eagerly awaits her return, hoping for more updates and wishing her well during this difficult time.
