Look what the sign said, people can’t believe it…

Recently, a Dairy Queen in the charming Wisconsin town of Kewaskum has received a lot of attention online. The cause? A large sign announcing the restaurant’s dedication to “political incorrectness” was conspicuously placed in the front window.

The sign is a colorful celebration of several holiday wishes, including “Happy Easter,” “Merry Christmas,” and “God Bless America.” The restaurant is making an attempt to preserve the customs that many people in the neighborhood hold dear. The sign not only spreads holiday brightness but also shows appreciation for veterans’ service by giving them free sundaes.

The owner, Kevin Scheunemann, clarified that the sign was up almost four years ago in response to a customer’s grievance regarding Christian music being played within the eatery. He wished to make it apparent how committed they were to serving God and the nation. The sign hasn’t caused any major problems since then.

A recent Facebook photo of the sign by an Oregonian tourist sparked debate about its alleged exclusivity. Before being removed, the post received a lot of attention. There are those who disagree with the message, but there are also those who agree with it. Local company owners, on the other hand, support Scheunemann’s choice, claiming that patrons are free to depart if they don’t agree with the restaurant’s tenets.

The business Dairy Queen has said that Scheunemann’s method is not formally supported by them. They stressed in their statement that regardless of a customer’s religious beliefs, all franchisees and employees are required to treat them with respect and dignity.

The sign is accepted by the people of Kewaskum because they regard it as a representation of the owner’s values. Regardless of one’s opinion of the message, it serves as a reminder that a community’s diversity and vitality are enhanced by its members’ diverse customs and beliefs. There is not a single issue with the sign.
