Adams, who was born in Ocean City, New Jersey, on August 28, 1938, started her acting career on Broadway and at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Before becoming a beloved character on The Young and the Restless as Dina Abbott Mergeron, she starred in The Secret Storm. She received a 2018 Daytime Emmy for her poignant performance.
