In the 1970s and 1980s, Chinese-Mexican showgirl Lyn May gained notoriety as a captivating figure due to her influence in the Mexican film industry. Lyn, who was born in Acapulco, Mexico, in 1952, spent her early years working as a waitress and later selling trinkets to help support her family. She met an American sailor while working as a waitress, and the two of them eventually got married and had two daughters. However, accusations of abuse caused the marriage to end.

Lyn moved to Mexico City in order to pursue a career in entertainment. She started dancing and soon became well-known, making appearances on the well-liked Latin American television program “Siempre en Domingo.” When she was asked to perform burlesque, her career took a dramatic turn.
