A man bought an old farmhouse to tear down, began to dismantle the barn and found one of the most expensive things in the world

Mark Benton was buying an old farm to demolish. The primary object of his fascination was the land. Even before work started, the man had the idea to look through the contents of the barn that had been built on the outskirts.

As the gates creaked open, Mark was surprised to see one of the most expensive cars in the world, built in 1959. Unusually for the company, Jaguar debuted the Mark 2 sedan this year. The company wanted to draw in new clients.

One of the fastest cars on the market at the time, the Jaguar Mark 2 was equipped with the engine from the Jaguar XK sports car. The designers combined a powerful engine with this appealing and representative body.

The majority of sedans remained in England, their home country, although some were released. Because of this, Mark was surprised to find one of the rare Jaguars on a long-abandoned farm in Iowa, a location that even its own residents consider to be somewhat remote from cultural centers. The car is exceptionally well-preserved for having been stored in a wooden shed for decades.

Additionally, documents found in the glove compartment showed that the vehicle had last been registered in 1983. The car will be put up for auction. In exchange, the buyer expects to receive at least several hundred thousand dollars.
